dadw5boys asked: It is well documented by the federal government that only the poor really try to pay their bills. Why do Conservatives seek relief from debts every 6 to 8 years.
Wouldn’t you be rich too if you went bankrupt for $200,000.00 or $500,000.00 every 6 to 8 years?

CodingAway asked: I want to start looking into the option of getting professional assistance to get out of debt. I’m not going to mention any numbers, but the debt my wife and I have accrued over the years is … well, staggering.
Anyway, I know some company’s are out to scam people, and I was wondering if their was any way to research various agencies?
I’m not sure of the term I am thinking of, but the types of companies that I am referring to give you an agent, then the agent negotiates deals with your credit lenders to lower interest rates, then they give you a flat fee to pay monthly and an estimated time of paying off your debt.

LISA asked: My husband was out of a job for a while and of coarse we felt like there was no other choice but to use our credit cards. Now we are stuck in a big hole and can’t get out. The finance charges are ridiculous and I feel like it’s nothing but a scam. I’ll pay it down below the limit, and then it jump up and the charge plus another charge of being over, which was not my doings. I need help, I’m afraid we are headed towards Bankruptcy. I looked this up, and this company seems like this is what I need to help. Has anyone had or heard good things about Care-One Debt Relief?

Steve A asked: I unfortunately am one of many who has too much credit card debt and due to some past glitches, my interest rates are high. I pay my bills and try to pay as much as I can but can’t seem to put a dent in the load. I keep hearing on radio and TV about these “cut your bills in half” credit card relief plans but I am very skeptical of those plans. Any advice….recommendations?

jen2001 asked: We’re at a point of bailing out and starting over because of our financial situation, but not sure if it will cause more stress down the road. We started a trucking business 2 yrs ago that went under and left us with $100k in personal credit card debt. Our mortgage is $2900 and going up to $3500 in 2 yrs.. We owe more than the house is worth so are thinking of doing a short sale or deed in lieu of forclosure and rent a cheaper place until the CC debt is paid off. I have thought of doing a debt relief program, but not decided because of the bad things I read about it. My credit is still high because I pay everything on time, but not able to pay much more than the minimum so not getting anywhere. I feel like I’m throwing money away on this house and would like to get out of it and have some breathing room to start over. Has anyone actually done this and how has it effected you? Do you think it is worth ruining great credit to be able to have a life again?
Thanks for any advice
