Check out rankfirstprocom/makemoney.html you can make the money you need and then start building up your credit. You have to be realistic and if your credit is bad you wont have a good deal on a loan if you can even get one at all.

5,000 is easy to manage. Just negotiate with the cc companies yourself and workout a re-payment plan.. That’s all the “debt relief” agencies do. Your credit score still plumets during these negotiations.. Try to pay off it off ASAP!! Good Luck!

All those “debt relief” companies are scams. They can’t fix your credit just by you making a phone call. I talked to my friend who works in a bank where they process loans, run credit, etc., and he told me that once you incur debt the only thing you can do is either pay it back slowly or file for bankruptcy. Once you file for bankruptcy it will stay on your credit report for 7 years, don’t believe the crap that any “debt relief” company tells you that they can remove the bankruptcy red flag from your credit report before the 7 years is up. My suggestion to you would be to pay the money you owe back to your credit card companies. You’re only in debt $5,000, it is still manageable. I know people who had to file for bankruptcy because they were in debt around $80,000, it didn’t make sense to pay a part of their paycheck every month for the next 10 years when they can file for bankruptcy and just not be able to buy a home for the next 7 years.
