Has anyone had any good experience with debt reduction programs?

I did once with the program of consolidation of the department, but it appeared on my credit and ruined it completely. Now I got a letter from another "no" consolitaional program, but through the debt … I do not trust any of them, but they really need help in reducing my debts.
