Why do people who claim to be Conservatives go Bankrupt more often than Liberials?
dadw5boys asked:
It is well documented by the federal government that only the poor really try to pay their bills. Why do Conservatives seek relief from debts every 6 to 8 years.
Wouldn’t you be rich too if you went bankrupt for $200,000.00 or $500,000.00 every 6 to 8 years?

The only people I’ve EVER known to go bankrupt are Liberals. They think nothing of it.
As a conservative, I take full responsibility for myself and my actions. I pay my bills.

Which dope-fogged blog did you get this from?
Nobody asks for political affiliation when going through bankruptcy court.
(By the way, poor people are the most likely to have defaulted on credit cards, and these defaults are not reported anywhere except to credit agancies.)

[It is well documented by the federal government ]
that must be why you didn’t bother to provide a link to support your claims, eh?

thats interesting considering a democrat presidential candidate (Gravel) had to declare bancruptcy and two other democratic presidential candidates (Kucinich, Richardson) both had their states go into bancruptcy during their governorship of their respected states.

Conservatives, ironically are risk takers…they get themselves into risky business ventures, and lose sometimes.
My grandfather…I don’t know what political party he subscribed to…went bankrupt 3x in his life. Each time, he got into another business, and came back richer than before. I know liberals who have claimed bankruptcy before.
I’d love to see this “documentation” by the government…I didn’t realize they monitored the financial movements of liberals & conservatives.

I suppose that it is well known by the same people who think 6 years can figure into the equation at all. You can only declare bankruptcy every 7 years.
I think that you ought to check your sources, and then look at the law. Bankruptcy is not a very flexible thing, and it is something that ought to be taken seriously. I have known several people who have had no choice, who have done it. I have not asked any of them for their political affiliation while I was trying to find them someplace to live.
Somehow it seemed more important to help them.
