I think that’s an excellent point but I think that if they didnt distribute it that way that it may ultimately bankrupt them hence limiting the future lending once our econiomy does recover. However, giving the money back to the people would be a stimulation of economy therefor boosting and jumpstarting our economy but that would mean our government would be required to give “us” the people as much faith as we have given them when we voted. We all know they would never do that because guess what- they are all crooks anyway sorry 2 say it but even the ones we voted into office are sellouts at some juncture or level, and they will NEVER HAVE FAITH IN OUR PEOPLE the way we had faith in them, so there is no motiveation or alterior motive 4 them to give to us, and we all know everything any politcal agenda has alterior motives. In other words, thay cant make us spend it of they give it to us. Thye could only hope or pray if u will that we would stimulate the economy by spending it back intop population.

I think you don’t understand basic economy. You can get 7500, but if the big corporations go bust because of lack of cash, then you won’t be able to spend that money, it will be worthless. If GM fails, Chrysler also fails, Ford also Fails, lots of companies that work for them will also fail, this will lead to more unemployment, less cash on the market, therefore more companies will also fail, increasing unemployment, less cash on the market, therefore…so on and so forth. To top it of, if a lot of companies keep failing, then more banks will start failing, because of the loans that the companies had and won’t be able to repay, the ones that won’t go bust, are the ones that are not lending money, therefore not contributing to the economy. All this so you can get 7500? In the meantime, what will you do with 7500 and no job or means to live. The only reason the situation escalated to this point was because lawmakers didn’t step up to the plate when it was time to step up to the plate. Now it’s too late. If Lehman Brothers had been bailed out, we wouldn’t be in this mess. Bloomberg has a nice article with the description of the whole crisis, and all the missteps that were made. Take a look at it, you’ll understand why it’s necessary to bail out the big corporations.

By the way, the $250 has been lowered to $200,000. You are correct. All we can do is mail these lawmakers our concerns. I do, doesn’t seen like it helps much, but numbers will.
