Has anyone ever heard of “Freedom Debt Relief Program”?

Stay away from all of those debt relief programs. What they do is have you pay them a certain amount that they hold in a ’special’ account for you. Then they claim they will pay a reduced amount later. I tried it and ended up having to file bankruptcy after paying them over $2000. My credit card was taking me to court (since I was told not to pay them) and the debt relief company told me I might want to pay them now because they can’t do anything for me at this point. Well, with paying the debt relief I no longer had money for my credit card and with all the penalty’s I owed tons.
Try dealing directly with your credit card company. Usually they will reduce the dept if you will pay it off in one big chunk. I would honestly stay away from all of these types of programs.

Never use debt consolidation programs. They do not work. Instead check out the book The Total Money Makeover. He has an excellent plan for getting out of debt that is working wonders for my finances.
