mojo asked: Earlier I asked about how to get some debt relief.
1. I cannot transfer balances to another card as I cannot get approved w/ a 0% card because I already have too much debt.
2. I can’t get a home equity loan because I don’t have enough equity.
3. I called Amex today as my minumum w/ them alone is 250 a month at 30% interest. The best they would offer was 14.99%. When I mentioned that I did not want to go into a debt settlement program, they said that they do not participate in that.
Any other ideas?

marcnstacy214 asked: After surfing the internet for debt relief, we were contacted by a debt consolidation co. to help us with our debt load and we participated in their program. We have since then had to file bankruptcy due to our dealings with this company and after contacting the Attorney General for the state of MS we found out that this company is NOT licensed to operate in the state of MS (where we reside). The Attorney General’s office told us to contact a lawyer for “grievment”; however, we are unsure as to what type of attorney to contact. PLEASE HELP!!!

Em’Rae asked: If we file Chapter 13 bankruptcy to get some debt relief we’ll still have tons of school loans left to repay. We’re thinking of using our $13,000 credit card to pay off one of the school loans and then including that card in the bankruptcy. Are there any laws that would prevent this or is there any reason you can think of that this wouldn’t be a good idea?

veedawg asked: I received a letter notifying me of this status and the opportunity to consolidate outstanding balances for a low monthly payment plan, however, I am a bit suspicious due to the late predatory practices of such major institutions.
